報告摘要:
Today’s global economy is dangerously dependent on petroleum oil, and this problem is exacerbated because heavily populated developing countries are expanding their economies and becoming more energy intensive. Among various energy technologies, fuel cells and rechargeable batteries are promising candidates for generating and storing power in a clean manner because they can provide electricity without thermal combustion and the pollutants associated with burning fossil fuels. Research, development and deployment of these clean energy technologies that provide a permanent solution are, hence, urgently needed.
Novel electrospun nanofibers with functional properties can dramatically alter surface reaction rates and charge transport throughout fuel cells and batteries, causing significant improvement in energy storage, conversion and generation. The design of functional nanofiber materials for alternative energy systems is a way to develop a wide range of new technologies for a healthy future. This presentation gives two examples of our work on the development of advanced functional nanofibers and the integration of these materials into rechargeable batteries and fuel cells to achieve high system performance.
報告人簡介:
張向武博士,1997年在浙江大學(xué)高分子材料系獲學(xué)士學(xué)位,2001年在浙江大學(xué)材料科學(xué)與工程學(xué)系獲博士學(xué)位。博士畢業(yè)后先后在美國Texas A&M 大學(xué)、North Carolina State大學(xué)從事博士后研究。現(xiàn)為North Carolina State大學(xué)助理教授,并任國際期刊Journal of Energy Storage and Conversion 的主編,兼任Tec-Cel: A Green Energy Company的技術(shù)顧問。為Fiber and Polymer Science Ph.D. Program Steering、College Graduate Studies 、College Research、Academic Advisory for the NC State Confucius Institute等多個學(xué)術(shù)機(jī)構(gòu)的委員和The Electrochemical Society、The American Chemical Society、Materials Research Society等學(xué)術(shù)協(xié)會(學(xué)會)會員。主要從事材料電化學(xué)、鋰離子電池和其關(guān)鍵材料(電極材料、電解質(zhì)、隔膜)等的研究。出版專著一部,參編學(xué)術(shù)著作3部。在Advanced Materials、Nanotechnology、Electrochimica Acta、J. Electrochem. Soc. Electrochemistry Communications等國際著名學(xué)術(shù)期刊上發(fā)表論文近50篇。
